Film Benefit for Cultural Alliance

On Tuesday, May 6th Bethel Cinema is hosting a special film screening event to benefit our downtown neighbors, The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut.

The film for the evening is Now You See Me, a 2013 crime thrilled featuring an all-star cast including starring Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Melaine Laurent, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Winner of a People’s Choice Award, NOW YOU SEE ME follows an FBI agent and Interpol detective as they track a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.

Following the film Todd Robbins, featured entertainer at Coney Island’s Sideshows by the Seashore and regularly performing in Off Broadway’s long running Monday Night Magic, as well as author of the cult classic, “The Modern Con Man: How to Get Something for Nothing,” will lead a Q & A session and provide insight on the intriguing deceptions which are the tricks of his trade.
